There is a strong link, in today's world, between money and power. Now, the power of what?.
Once, I read a tip given by a father to his son and said something like, "from time to time, take a bill from your wallet and looking it intently say: This bill is mine. Thus let it clear which of both is the owner. "
People seem to have lost, after so long, the true sense of the existence of the money that is no longer a means to become an end.
One night we walked with my nine year old niece who had given her for her birthday a bill of fifty. I was surprised when she said, "I wish to have one hundred".
I, who knew she did not have much idea of money, asked her what it was for. And I was not surprised with the response, she just said: "to have one."
So I took the opportunity and made this pose:
Imagine that at the moment you start to feel hungry, you have a hundred but no one will change it for food, what do you do?.
She replied, "I can not even eat because it is toxic."
That is the value of money. None. The money is only worth when you trade it for something. The value is in the people, the important "thing" is people, it is to them to have to assess over your money.
One of the most common reasons for discomfort is because societies are shaped by families rather than families seem trenches where members are willing to ride defend their "goods" that are more harms than goods, at almost any price. And the first thing they lose in this fight is the welfare and health.
I listen to different people and repeated times, this phrase: "money comes and goes, health is important", to which I say, "do not lie", and in that abrupt and undiplomatic response become aware that they are being simple but consistent new age philosophers.
To whom gives the money, power? power of what?, what if the masses do not respond like sheep-cash incentives, and what would happen if more and more people dedicate part of their time to serve free and collaboratively to others?.
The money is not bad and much less addicted or leads anyone astray, at least not those who have no previous intentions of wanting to go for "bad" way.
People have a previous formation to the money, that include, a worldview, ideas and values, no matter how "poor" or "rich" the money does not twist someone noble and honorable. If it does, is that it never was.
It is quite possible that the idea that we are divided and everyone should fight for their piece, in a world where no one's friend, where nobody gives anything without expecting something in return, was accepted.
It accepted the idea that as humans we are competitive and ambitious, and if not for incentive not provide anything. And that we are governed by the "law of the jungle".
And to counter this entrenched idea it can bring this time an example of what happens in a time of disaster. When disaster occurs, people convulse to the point that almost can not reason, think of nothing, can not think because the stunning and in the state, some run to help others. Nothing else matters, the shock is such that they erase all speculative mind and calculator implemented by a society of mediocre guidelines and become true to their nature, consistent with their humanity.
To have come to this age thrashing and despising human nature did not help, or, help really, it served for mankind to believe and behave as infants stupid, unable to discern based in facts rather than on childish ideas implemented.
Money is power, so, gives the power to manipulate or to serve, depending on the interests and training of its possessor.
It can claim the money and human nature putting each in its place, one is possessed and the other the possessor. We have to ask what place each towards money.
A simple and transformer exercise would be to give away money for nothing. Not as charity but as an act of emancipation from it. Especially for those not they have money.
It is so much the attachment and dependence that creates in some people, that they become stiff, sad, repellents, petty, pitiful, plaintive and naturally, these people cause rejection by other and far from deserving the gift of others, they become focus of contempt by envy their eyes reflecting for the "goods" of others.
A change of vision, causes a change in attitude and a change in attitude can revolutionize the world.
From day to day we can be surrounded by philanthropists, but truly, with those, who love so much what they are as for giving themselves selflessly to others, with what they have and what they are.
There is a phrase that says "how much more you give, much more you have " pulling down the fallacious notion that what is given is lost. Idea on which hold most societies.
